What this guy said, but the only thing I don't agree with is what you said about him outrunning Amaterasu.

Kamui has failed less. The only times it failed that didn't include Kakashi in the mix are when Amaterasu was used on it (which he removed, likely by teleporting his body away from the flames, or the flames to the kamui dimension. So not sure if you can necessarily call that a fail. Maybe a half fail) and when Minato hit him with the rasengan (though that was more of Obito's fault, as phasing couldn't activate while Obito was trying to absorb). Everything else either involves him getting beat in the kamui dimension or with Obito's other eye.

Amaterasu on the other hand has been dodged many times, absorbed, and even sealed once.
