Kamui wins....
Amaterasu cannot affect an intangible person

Note : Intangibility is also a part of Kamui. Also there's nowhere said in the thread that the user of Kamui is Kakashi or Obito.

The "note" part is on point. It was specified as a whole MS Tech because it didn't specify which user. That means intangibility (a Kamui ability) is also included, which is much faster than Amaterasu spawning. Considering that building up chakra and focusing is not required for intangibility, something that Amaterasu clearly requires.
So Kamui.

Kamui gradually occurs when cast aswell, it just doesn't occur instantly. Also amaterasu has never been shown as hypersonic but instant when cast. Both can be evaded by a person with the right speed. What your saying is when Kamui warps it warps the object at the speed of light, and when amaterasu lands it burn slowly. But this thread is about this.

It's about prep time, jutsu speed and casting time.

So you saying size doesn't matter is completely wrong.

Kamui and Amaterasu can be cast instantaneously in certain situations with little to no prep time. So trying to show kakashi warping those arrows is irrelevant when Sasuke has showed to use amaterasu to protect himself and Itachi from Kabuto.

So we go on size of object and casting time. Amaterasu's prepping time is quicker when used on bigger objects and Kamui is better on smaller ones. But what makes the difference is Amaterasu can be cast alot faster after it's first use with little to no prepping time. But Kamui requires generally the same prepping time for each use.

You should reread the manga if you believe what you just stated is true. Kamui is S/T, and occurs wherever the user wants it to. If Kamui moved it would be the most op just since it would warp everything as it moves into another dimension; which it doesn't do. Amateratsu does not need to travel far if at all to defend his Susano, however, to hit someone it does. As shown in the manga, Ay dodged it and CM Sasuke briefly out ran it.

When was it stated or shown Kakashi cannot do it consecutively? When was it stated or shown Sasuke needed no prep time after the first amateratsu? He can control his enton which is why it may seem he uses it consecutively, but controlling it=/=consecutively firing it. Kamui was used on the Gedo's head without prep time, and the Gedo's head is used. Note this warp was occurring without the Kyuubi's chakra. So to put it simple, size doesn't matter as much as you are making it seem. Kamui doesn't travel, it occurs where the user wants it to occur, since it is almost like a tiny black hole being created by Kakashi where he wills. Your points are still invalid, and I can see why Bogard doesn't want to argue with you..

Kakashi has Kamui not Obito. If you try to mix there feats together than you have to mix Sasuke's Amaterasu/kagetsuchi aswell.

I hope you're not talking about Obito. Because his technique is not Kamui. Yes it is related but do not try to mix Obito and kakashi's feats. Only Kakashi has Kamui.

I also never stated kakashi could not do it consecutively. He can but it would require the same general prep time for each use. Unlike amaterasu.

I never said sasuke, even though I'm sure he can. I stated that after you prep and cast amaterasu for the first time you can do it again and again with little to no prep time.

EX:prep then amaterasu

Amaterasu can move. Amaterasu can also occur instantly, the same as Kamui. It doesn't need to travel even when trying to hit an opponent.

Lets say this, once both jutsu are cast they can reach their objective at the same time. Yes kamui would warp it's object faster but they would still reach it at the same time. But to cast Kamui again it would take generally the same prep time it took to cast the first one unlike amaterasu where you can cast it again almost immediately.

Next time you post give me scan and facts to back up you work, cause all you done here is state what happens when the jutsu is cast. Get off this thread if you can not read it.

Its about Prep time, jutsu speed, casting time. If you can't do that. then don't reply.

why make this thread? It's clearly one of those where you're only looking for people to agree with you. Anyone who disagrees is getting hate.

It doesn't even matter which is faster, anyone who banks on 1 shot jutsu to VS already knows there's nothing else their character can possibly do to win.

I already stated somewhere in here that's what I made it for.

Why does this matter? The point is they have it, so they can win lel

I never said they couldn't but in most kakashi VS all they state is Kamui. I don't know why people are even making arguments in this thread if you'd already stated you're only looking for agreement.

I've seen more people react to Amaterasu rather than kamui so kamui seals the deal

Kamui is both Obito's and Kakashi's power. They're the same eye for goodness sake!

In any case, Kamui has the distinct advantage because the intangibility takes next to nothing to activate and it is nearly impossible to tell if the user had activated it at all until after the fact.

Amaterasu can light upon it's target instantly, but considering that Obito got away from it, I'd say Kamui is superior.

You mean both eyes belong to the same user but both eyes have different techniques.

It's like Sasuke's Amaterasu and Kagetsuchi. One eye controls amaterasu, the other only manipulates it.

Same for Obito and Kakashi. Obito controls the main move, while Kakashi only manipulates it. Kakashi is using kamui since he named it that. While Obito hasn't really named his. You can't put them under one name because they are two different techniques. They have similarities but they are still different.

They are the same technique.

They are both Kamui.

Lel at you saying Kakashi only manipulates it while Obito controls it.

They have an even stake in Kamui.

Prove that they are EXACTLY the same technique. Otherwise you're just all type.

Cause I have proof of them being a similar technique to each other, but they are not the same.

I would agree with that one eye manipulates the move while the other simple generates it.

So theoretically, if Kakashi had Obito's skill in Kamui, then Kakashi's Kamui should be able to warp any object into the dimension with the same speed Obito can warp people he touches.

In either case, Kakashi should be able to warp Amaterasu away from himself even if it did land on him, since Obito was capable of doing it using his eye powers that used telportation to warp away Amaterasu. Both can manipulate time and space fairly easily.
