i just finished FMAB and i must say i was very content with the ending unlike naruto so what do you think naruto or FMAB

MC likability of FMAB> Main character of Naruto.

Edward because he doesn't start with that much ignorance or ground zero like Naruto. Story starts with a genius kid already holding a job. it's refreshing after seeing too mainly stupid MC in too many shonnens in a row. >_>

Villains and verse and fights are more complex in Naruto.

FMAB was monthly serialization. Naruto was weekly.

Ending mayhem was almost of similar kind. So.. whatever..

FMA and FMAB have two different ending and FMA diverges midway and had different ending. So basically one version of story with alternate story was already out way before manga ended. Writer ended her story as she originally planned but she incorporated some little bits from the anime which she liked in her manga.

Naruto does seem to be influenced with FMAB here and there. Though of course most of theme are pretty common Tropes used tons of time since ages.

OT: Imo, FMAB > Naruto. However, Naruto is a much longer series which would be harder on the mangaka; also, the serialization is totally different, as Avani said. :|

It was a monthly series - more time for better planing and story is much shorter. Naruto handles much larger number of characters and their stories.

Shorter stories do have a major advantage. They end usually way before you get bored with them. xd

Either way you are comparing a much shorter monthy manga to a weekly serialized one. FMA is half the size of Naruto. And FMA ending also benefited because of existence of alternate ending in the first anime . People had seen that and knew it wouldn't go that well. Still many preferred FMA version to manga as they felt it was darker so more mature and prefer that to manga version.

There is no manga which satisfies everyone- it's pretty evident when you see the fans of FMA and FMAB ranting at each other. The bigger it is, more complaints there are.

Hahahahhaha....

Yes, of course FMA manga ending is much better, BECAUSE:

1.The last chapter was 110 pages long while chpater 699 + chapter 700 were nearly 32 pages.
2.FMA had far less characters than Naruto, where in the end it had still 1000000 characters (including main characters + support characters + characters whose name was known ect) because nobody from the good guys died except Neji.
3.FMA was never using shipping fanservice, Naruto became famous/infamous for using tons of shipping fanservice (confessions, CPR, hand holding ect) and we all know how shippingers react if their shipping not becoming canon.

So yeah, FMA had much better handicap to give a satisfying ending for everyone than Naruto, specially with the not so large character cast and + 70 pages.
