Which irrelevant character...

Who is the irrelevant character you liked (any manga/anime)? Irrelevant as in, doesn't really influences the plot or at least not substantially. I'm curious if there're many people who like at least one character like this. For me it definitely has to be: Naomi Misora from Death Note. She didn't really have any impact on the plot and she dies pretty early on but I like her for her cleverness.

Although Near is my fav Death Note character (Yeah I know it's another pretty unpopular choice but oh well...) she's definitely a close second. So anyways, what about you?

I wouldn't call Naomi irrelevant, though, man. She herself wasn't able to do much against Light, but her death did prompt L to narrow his suspects down again, which definitely counts for something (in a sense, you could say she was responsible for the "chip incident"). lol
