I don't really see how Hashirama creating the village means he did something for the village... doesn't make sense to me.
Yea he defeated Madara, but there was a huge difference between his fight and Minato's.
-Hashirama fought Madara outside of the village, so Hashirama didn't have to worry about destroying the village, something that would have clearly happened based on what we see from edo Madara.
Minato on the other hand had to deal with tobi and the fox destroying the village at the same time... he couldn't just focus on the fight alone.
-Hashirama and Madara fought for the title of leader... at that Time Madara didn't want to destroy the village, he wanted to rule it.
While Tobi was there for the sole reason of destroying Konoha.
This being said i thing Minato did more for the village, in terms of protecting it.
