"Negged"? He reacted fine to V2 Ay.

Negged would mean he couldn't do anything for being blitzed, but he was able to track Ay and use Amaterasu and Enton before Ay arrived. What he didn't anticipate, was Ay not caring about losing an arm for a single attack.

sm gives you increased speed,reflexes strength and awareness
ems does not give you "fluidity of movement" sharingan gives you precog and ability to see chakra not nature energy

Sasuke had two battles that show clear examples that if you do not have the speed and reflexes to back up pregcog it doesn't help
Sure one can possibly deduce the reach of frog kata but only after they realize the range of attacks has been extended which most can't because most cant sense nature energy unless they themselves are sage users.

Sm can't let you see chakra other than that sm is clearly the better choice when engaging taijustu

naruto using sm had his awareness which acts just like precog and used his increased reflexes to diverge the attack last second ...all thanks to sage mode.
