[Discussion] Which do you prefer? Espada or Stermitter?

The sternitter are for most part a bit stronger(I think) and have some interesting abilities. I prefer the espadas though because they have something called 'Personality'. The sternitter on the other hand are like 'In the name Ywach I will kill you!!!!' which is a bit lame.

Well you petty much summed it all up. The Espada had character and the Sternritters don't so it's allowed preference.

Espada all the way, the majority of them were cool and interesting, while the majority of the Sternriitter's are boring and annoying.

we barely know anything about the star knights. so just going off of that, the espada win easily. i actually cared when espada died.

The sternritters and ywach seem like a simple copy of the espada and aizen to me, but the latter were way more awesome.

There isn't a single sternritter I liked as much as Ulquiorra, neither does Ywach interest me in any way.

I agree with you.

The only thing Sternritters have over Espada are uniforms (yes their uniforms are far better than Arrancars or that of an Shinigami) and I would say design. Bazz-B and Cang Du's design put any Espada's design into dust and I would say that others have better as well.

Also, some of SR powers were creative (like Fear), but majority of SR's letters were just rip of Arrancar's powers, like Pepe's Love being same as Zommari's amor.

I prefer some espada over the sternritters like ulquiorra, stark, nnoitora and grimmjoww and maybe the old guy. But other than that I prefer sternritters. The rest of the espada are lame. Bazz b, jugram, bambietta, Gremmy etc are all pretty cool and cooler than all the espada I didn't mention.

The sternritters had some interesting characters and powers, but I hate how so many were introduced and also killed off without much development. They just felt expendable, whereas the Espada felt like an organization.

I also hated the fact that I thought they were going to be an elite group that would provide sufficient challenge to the Gotei, but after stealing their bankai, they were annihilated.

My favorite sternritter got trolled hard too. He was introduced as a quiet and calm character, which made him badass, but then he started losing his cool in his battle.

For example Cang Du didn't even used his Schrift in fight against Hitsugaya. Same with BG9 and I'm not even talking about their Vollstandigs.

Even though the espada and sternritter were ultimately complete tools, I do think the espada have a more interesting story. Also I appreciate that so many espada were not as blindly loyal to Aizen as the sternritter are to Bach.

Most Espada were individuals and had their own goals, when it comes to sternritter their day begins and ends with "His Majesty".

I am hoping CangDu and BG9 to make a comeback . It was never shown Haschwalth killing them .

Sternritters are not bad, but Ulquiorra, Starrk and Grimmjow can never be replaced
