Should I watch gurren laggen or hxh?
I've always hated hxh idk y but my friend recommended it to me abd I've heard gurren laggen is good

Gurren Lagann is top 5. watch it 1st. sub. 25 or 27 episodes. Also has recap movie versions gurren-hen and lagann-hen which covers the 1st and 2nd halves of the show respectively and there's a lot of new scenes and changes to the story.

HxH is good too but a longer unfinished series so do watch that also at some point. I used to sleep on that one too.

Watch both. However, if you ever thought about starting Hunter X Hunter, start HxH (1999)

Then later:
- Hunter x Hunter OVA
- Hunter x Hunter: Greed Island
- Hunter x Hunter: Greed Island Final

HxH 2011 is literally the best anime I have ever watched its storyline is unparalleled.

I say 2011 because:

A) Better animation.
B) sticks to the manga
C) I tried 1999 first and I didn't like it, dropped the series. It was only when I found out about 2011 months later that I decided to stick with it. Best anime I've seen so far.
