well if u take itachi sussonno u get yata mirrir n sword of tsomething and if u take madara.you get rennigan cause thats what it takes to get perfect sussonno. though decision

itachi and sasuke one has yata and the other has amaretsu to add additonal support
then again madaras can jump/dodge and do ninjutsu as offensive defense

well as long as no one else has kumai i say tobis is the best no one can hit you ever and you can always just go to your other dimension and hang out there so i go with obitos.

Tobi's is not the best defense, it's Itachi's or Madara's.

Tobi's is not the best defense, it's Itachi's or Madara's.

Actually, when its in activated, he's protected against every attack imaginable. This means genjutsu, any soul rip ability and every form of ninjutsu and taijutsu. Why? Because he isn't even in the same dimension. When he got hit by Naruto, it was out of necessity. It was either his mask get broken or him get destroyed by a TBB. The ONLY counter to Tobi's technique is a Kamui + something else. That's the only counter.

but fine whatever, I guess Gaara's sand is the best defence when you weigh all the factors up. My personal favourite is the Orochimaru jutsu Rashomon.

Yeah, i was just saying Tobi's defensive abilities are great and all but Minato owned him and that was WITHOUT any prior knowledge whatsoever on his abilities!!! Imagine what would have happened if Minato knew about Tobi before their fight.

Itachi's Susano has the most potential, Yata mirror is OP.And Perfect Susano is pretty damn tough too, but i go with Itachi on this one.

You are 100% correct but like i mentioned it can only be kept active for a few minutes AND he can't attack while it's activated.

That's why i went with Itachi or Madara, Yata mirror is supposed to make any attack entirely ineffective AND he can attack while defending
A defense that renders attacks useless and allows you to attack at the same time is much better than any other in my opinion it's only downside is that much like Tobi he can't keep it going for long.

Same goes for Madara, he can attack while using his perfect Susano and now that he has unlimited chakra he can keep it up indefinitely which is a big plus.

Even in Susano'o, Itachi, Sasuke or Madara would still be open for a high level genjutsu such as KA, where as Tobi wouldn't be because he wouldn't even be in the same dimension.

If you want to put it like that, yes Tobi is the ultimate counter against the ultimate defense...But you are forgetting this was a general thing, not the best defense against Tobi, so i think my point about the attacking while defending is still very valid as it works against pretty much anyone else.

But i have something for you!

Minato!! he can also escape anytime he wants without having to be in a different dimension as he has several kunais placed at key locations, he can go there if needed instantly and best of all without 5 minute restrictions or anything he can do it anytime,anywhere,under any circumstance.

After all isn't defense the ability to NOT get hit or trying to stop the enemy from harming/hitting you? So if you consider Tobi's S/T justsu as the best defense why not FTG ?

Tobi may be the best counter to the ultimate defense but someone still managed to break his own defense.
