which combined elemens could beat Wood Release?

Very early in story, Kakashi fought against Kakuzu's combined fire and wind release technique with just Water Release it was overpower, only a combination
of water and wind could counter it. Also, two techniques of the
same nature would cancel each other out if the same amount of chakra was put
into them. Now let assume 2 opponents have equal chakra in the justsu.
Ninja A having Earth + Fire,
Ninja B having Lightning + Water. Applying the above rule Ninja B should win right? But Ninja A also having 2 nature have lava as kekkei genkai, but Ninja B (eg darui) might have have Storm or some powerful lightning jutsu as kekkei genkai. So now it's it completely differnent jutsu, It's Lava release VS Storm release. By this theory Storm release should be superior. Accordingly,
So to counter wood release=Earth+Water. Opponent ninja must have Lightning+Earth? Could Lightning+Earth=Magnetism

But really id think lava realese would be formidable against wood. Dust realease seems to trumph anything made of matter though. Mabey suigetsu could use his hydration to over saturate the wood and cause it to swell and split. Idk really just runnin ideas through my dome.

.somethings doesnt make sense 2 combined nature elements which should be weaker against it's superior nature doent always happen when new jutsus like wood, lava takes form o.0

Its not an element but if the aburame can use termites the way they sling around chakra eating insects then wood element would rot from the inside out

No.I will tell you why though.

Individually your statement would be correct water >fire and lightning >earth/water but since water and earth are combined it makes a new element it wouldn't just be overpowered because you use elements that the wood release is made up of is weak against them.Wood has its own properties and in the narutovere it like in real life has life giving properties in the manga is represents endurance and life.Its a strong ans sturdy element.Wood is very versatile.
Hashi has used it for offence (ripping people apart as seen by obito and defense as hashi used it to block a tailed beast bomb (Depending on how much chakra you put in to it,others have showed a lesser degree with it then hashi)
Same goes for combing two elements on its own that are efficient against it like lighting which could set it on fire.
Magnetism would not work on wood.Fire is the best suited element against wood for obvious reasons.

Kg elements are more than the sum of their parts, they're stronger than combination techniques plus i don't think matchups apply with kg abilities. it's all relative to the strength of the shinobi. Hashirama's mokuton>Madara's>Obito's>Yamato's>Danzou's>Zetsu's. and for example gaara's sand techniques became much more powerful over time as gaara's dad remarked, even though the basic technique remained the same.

in general, techniques of the same rank pull elements into play, but even then, geniuses like orochimaru,jiraiya,itachi etc do amazing things with even c and d-rank techniques. so it's not clearcut at all.
