Nice! Major? I got accepted into UCLA bio majorJust graduated from ucla in June.
nice nice. Study hard! What grade are you atm?
Its sooo weird cause I am thinking about going to Stanford too XD
LOL Good luck bruhStill in High school bruh..
not bad, have you considered UMichigan or Duke?Same but I really want to go to unc
haha cool cool. Sounds like fun. Where do you work now?Washington State University. I majored in Accounting and drinking and got a minor in women's studies. I also studied abroad, or two
Wow! That's really cool. Never knew about this.I entered college in the beggining of this year. The process is different from the one americans(I guess you're american, right?) use.
In brazil, the best universities are the public ones. There are some private ones that are very good and sometimes just as good, but usually, that's how it is. Anyway, most of these public universities currently accepted the High School National Exam as the entrance test. Most people in the country take this exam in the last year of high school.
Then, a selection system is opened. In this system, you enter what college you want to try, and what you want so study. Then, those withe the higher grades among those who selected the same manage to enter. If some of them leave the university after entering it, then more vacancies are opened, and the people closest to get in the first list will enter it.
This exam happens every year, in november, and the grade can be used to enter college either in the first semester of the next year, or the second(middle of the next year).
Anyway, I entered one of the best universities of the country, probably top 4. It's called UFMG. I'm studying civil engineering.
And sorry for the long post.
As for your hint: Study a lot, and don't give up.
haha yeah. Stanford is kind of expensive. I got in with a couple of scholarship, but my parents basically paid off the full tuition. I'm soo lucky haha. I'm changing major to bio when I reach sophomore year, so I plan on studying my ass off.Tufts University, couldn't have gone without scholarship money and grants though. That shit is ridiculously expensive.
My best advice would be this: as fun as college may be, try to always remember that you're there to earn a degree, ideally a degree that will allow you to get a better job after graduation that you wouldn't have been able to get if you didn't have that degree. I forgot that myself and was a terrible student my freshmen year.
cmon, don't think soo lowly of me. haha. I've been sticking to these adivce since the beginning of HS. How else would I have gotten into Stanford? LOLI'm not in college yet (Junior Year, wot wot ._.) but I think I'll most likely get accepted to UCONN or some other Connecticut University. I'm trying to go out of state, but I wouldn't mind staying in for a while.
Advice I've gotten:
1. Don't think College is all parties, fraternities and all you can eat buffets... If you do, you'll only last a week
2. Surround yourself with people who can make you succeed, but also be with people you can have fun with.
3. Don't force yourself to join a group, but try to make new friends while you can
4. Don't try and find a join your freshman year because you'll most likely get stressed out. Get used to the school freshman year and start working sophomore year. But, if you know you can handle work load in academics and at a workforce then go ahead.
That's all I've heard![]()
yeee. You should check out Stanford's food. gourmet 24/7. Their freshly caught lobster is AMAZING.The Parties part is nice to know, I'm not a frequent party-goer, but I'll attend some lol.
The food part will be a struggle for me, I don't eat a lot but on trips to colleges in our area... It was glorious to get that much variety instead of cold rice, half fried steroid infested chicken and unmashed potatoes.![]()
cool! I didn't bother to apply to Harvard. Too preppy for me. Which major?Harvard going on to my 2nd year.
