I'm not even sure how the second version was possible
He can change shape with Kagutsuchi. It's not the same as a standard amaterasu. He's able to create weapons from it like a sword.

He did the same thing with Rasengan.

I think the Chidori Kagutsuchi. Sasuke's arsenal are all enhanced through Hagoromo. Yin Chidori only uses his sage chakra to empower it, as opposed to using another technique (Enton) enhanced with the sage's power as well.

First one,the whole idea of Chidori is lots of power compressed into a jap. The second one only seems more powerfull because it got destabilized and exploded

Changed my mind. It's the Yin Chidori. Hagoromo's chakra gives out actual boost in chakra. Kagutsuchi doesn't specifically have that kind of enhancement.

Imagine how awesome it would have been if Sasuke did Yin-Seal Chidori with Kagutsuchi.

That would have been the ultimate attack(without Susanoo)

This is why I'm a little disappointed. There was opportunity for sick-nasty jutsu, but Kishi decided to hold back.

Like he could have done Planetary Senjutsu Bijuu-Rasenshuriken, with orbs floating around it.

Instead, Naruto's final attack was just a standard Bijuu-Rasenshuriken with another plain Rasenshuriken.

Most likely the Yin Chidori, though one would be tempted to assume Enton Chidori is stronger, it simply doesn't give Chidori anything other than heating properties. Otherwise, the rest of the strength comes from Raiton's piercing nature, which is superior to Enton's.

In the scan here, it did show that Kagutsuchi has piercing strength that cut the Juubi's clone shield in half. So perhaps it too adds to the cutting nature of Chidori.

I didn't say that Kagutsuchi didn't have piercing properties, however, you cannot make something more penetrative by adding a less penetrative property to a more penetrative attack. Add a nail onto a needle and you don't have much going for you, same goes here, Kagutsuchi can have piercing properties but they are inferior, thus Chidori is doing the penetration/piercing, not Enton.
