Tsunade shoulds have died healing the Kages, and Gai should have died from 8th Gate.

Obito more than anyone that roach needs to be stepped on fast hes a shitty character

1) Gai (I believe he still will)
2) A (A great send off and could have inspired Naruto, Killer Bee, Darui and the Cloud)
3) Tsunade (A great and tragic send off. Would have developed Naruto, Sakura, Hashirama and Shizune)
4) Oonoki (A great send off and could have inspired Gaara, Kurotsuchi and her dad)
5) Obito (I believe he still will)
6) Suigetsu (tragic and would have inspired Sasuke and Taka)

@op, Neji wasn't the only character killed. Shikaku, Inoichi, Ao and Mabui were all killed when Madara blew up the Shinobi Alliance Headquarters.

1.) Tsunade: Brutally ripped in half but just walks it off. Honestly I thought her death would have been the perfect moment to see the torch be passed on to Sakura.

2.) Onoki: Could have died fighting like a boss. He would have finally found redemption for standing against Madara.

3.) A: No reason other than to see more kage deaths and make Madara's battle with them have more of an impact. It definitely would have been interesting to have seen Bee's reaction too.

4.) Obtio: Don't get me started on this guy.... He's cheated death so many times now... (Oh, and Rin).

5.) Kabuto: Another great villain who just had to turn good... I would have rather seen him die than be trolled by Izanami.

6.) Gai: His 8 Gates beast mode should have concluded with him dying like the hero he is. I mean COMPLETELY disintegrating and everything! That would have been one hell of an exit and prob one of the best in manga history. No body left, no slow death scene, just literally BURNING AWAY WITH THE POWER OF YOUTH!

Here is my opinion on this. I really try to view the deaths in the overall impact of the story, and potential long term consequences.

If kakashi had not been revived, then the war wouldve likely been over long ago. So by him surviving, he was able to play his part later.

The same may become true for tsunade, oonoki, etc.

If they play no part, and just live happily ever after, then I will have a issue with it.

So here are my opinions on the listed.

Tsunade: She was crushed in half, not cut in half. Humans survive crushing blows much better than cuts. You lose blood less quickly with crushing blows. Also she was stuck together by katsuya, who is able to help others heal.

So in my opinion her survival is fine to me. However she needs to become truly elderly from the stress and regeneration that was put on her body. She needs to be in a state, in which she is no longer strong enough to be a hokage.

Best case scenario, is she dies passing the title of hokage on to naruto. Her health should be affected though at least.

Onoki: I agree. He just needs to die. I have no problem with him being alive now, but he needs to die in the war. There is no good reason for him to stay alive.

A: I dont see him needing to die. Sure It would be kinda cool to have bee become raikage, and have him react to loseing his partner, but there is not a compelling reason, that I think he should be dead.

Obito: I do not want him to remain alive forever. Im fine with him surviving the war, then takeing himself and black zetsu to kamui verse for good, to die. However It will be some bs, if he just goes back to konoha and lives life normally with black zetsu.

So he does need to die in my opinion.

Kabuto: To me he never seemed like a real villian. Just like a manipulative confused insecure kid. So I have no issues with him turning again. But there is no compelling reason that I view he should die, or have died.

Gai: My best case scenario, would be the same as yours. Gai just dies a hero.
However, I can live with him liveing, if he is disfigured, and or crippled. Gai could be the legendary blue beast that defeated even certain death by the gates.
It is to early to conclude he wont die. His life may just be preserved long enough for him to say goodbye to lee and kakashi.
Naruto only stopped the death via chakra depletion. We do not know if he stopped gais disinigration.
I would love it if he spoke last words to kakashi like this "kakashi......*cough cough*. I win 56 to 55 .....*gai dies*"(the 56 to 55 being their rivalry and competetions of course.)



But to the title of the thread.

Characters that shouldve been created and developed should be dead. Kishi shouldve had many different characters to make up, in which he would kill, to make the war feel impactful. That way he can continue his goal of keeping most of k11 and main characters alive.

tsunade from ps sword in her tits and being cut in half. sakura from chakra depletion and asspull seal. karin should be dead when zetsu made a tree grow inside her chest. and sasukehhh should be dead too just cus.
