Which character has been neglected most by their friends?

Dude, neglected can also mean not giving the correct attention. It doesn't mean like, oh i didn't take care of you.

That's Sasuke's personality, that's how he is among everyone. That doesn't mean he neglects everyone that is around him. Plus, neglect means to not take care of properly or to give little to no attention at all.

Naruto was never neglected by his friends, Sasuke doesn't count because Sasuke doesn't think of Naruto as a friend. He was neglected, but they weren't his friends. When they became his friends, he wasn't neglected.

Anyways, I feel no one was neglected by their friends in the series.

Not true, sasuke did begin to see him as a friend which is one of the reasons why he left.

I don't think Sakura is cold towards Naruto. I mean compared to how she used to treat him in part 1, she has changed a lot in part 2. She cares for him but her character is supposed to be hot tempered. It parallels the relationship between Jiraiya and Tsunade. And I also think there was some truth to her confession to Naruto, She did it because she cares for him but she cant help it that she is still in love with sasuke.
Hinata loves Naruto and she confessed her love to him. Naruto hasn't acted on it but it doesn't mean he is cold to her, its just that a lot is going on at the moment.

And dont get me started on how Kishi neglects Sakura

I'm afraid Kishimoto neglects most women in Naruto. It's just really sad, to know that you can never expect too much from them. We've had Chiyo and Sakura vs Sasori but that battle ended horribly anyway. That's why I love Shima, that frog is awesome without any drawbacks. Well, apart from being a frog.

Still, a lot of people have had a pretty rough childhood in this series. Although some seem(ed) intent on dwelling on it, like Sasuke and Neji.

Yeah naruto should really acknowledge gaara. Gaara's way better of a guy than sasugay and gaara actually wants to protect him, not kill him. Yet somehow sasuke is still naruto's best friend? Gaara's perfect buddy for naruto, they were both jinchuriki and understand each other.
