almost killed by raikage, orochimaru was sick, Itachi was already dying, killer bee soloed him physically and mentally, struggled with Danzo

in part 1 he beat Naruto but didn't solo him, Sasuke gave his all, he controlled the bijuus but still didn't have Victory

after Itachi there is no one else Sasuke fought one on one without any help

Deidara. One of the best fights in the whole series for me.

Danzo is a close 2nd though. Danzo was a nub who stole sharingan from dead uchiha and Hashirama's cells. The only things he could do on his own were to use wind release and summon that one dream eater beast, which he summoned against a fire user (imbecile...), and that one curse seal jutsu. He never deserved to be Hokage. Sasuke's skill was far beyond Danzo's who only knew how to spam izanagi and blow himself up.
