It would support the theory that another person, such as Izuna, is merely using Obito's body.

It might also mean that Tobi does not personally believe he is the same weaker 'Obito Uchiha' that Kakashi and Gai remember before his apparent death. Now he is the much more powerful 'Tobi' instead.

He is basically saying:

I don't care whether I survived or not. You broke your promise of protecting Rin.
This makes sense to me, he thinks Rin's survival was more important than his. I should have recognized that..

Does anyone else find this text on page 11 a bit strange? Whether *I* died or not is not important. Why would he single out that word?
yeah this has been getting to me too, i think hes saying he might not be obitos conscience but his body, or kishi is getting us to argue and fight over this hahaha, but this might reveal if there is 2 tobis or what!:flaw:

Don't read too deep into it. Like was said above, it's basically him telling Kakashi that he ended up the way he was because Kakashi let Rin die.

I've been saying it every since I first read the manga.
It's too strange the composition of both sentences.
They're elusive.
You don't use elusive sentences when you're talking about 100% proven certainties.
