guys remember a jutsu is a technique... kakashi probably does have more then a thousand but only uses the effective ones like raikiri water dragon mudwall which is water and earth, earth style head hunter jutsu

The manga was relatively new back then, so kishi probably might've sucked at drawing a lil, or didn't have enough practice, look at bleach's first chapters and AOT, they look retarded....they get better with time since drawing chapters after chapters does give the author some drawing experience LOL

There's a thing called screen time that prevents him from showing all his Jutsu. And he's supposed to have 1000 Jutsu but it isn't guaranteed. There's more to say he does though, or close to it.
