Personally, I think Kishimoto is a quite good writer(3.5). He showed a lot of potential in part 1, early part 2. From Kage Summit onwards, he made lots of mistakes and the series was hardly Naruto, especially when most of the fights were just chakra blasts at each other with little strategy. The series was still redeemable but he ruined the final fights with Madara and Sasuke.

Props for weaving together so many elements from Japanese, Chinese, Indian cultues and myths. But his character's and storylines were not all they could've been.

Saw one of your posts about the infinite Tsukuyomi on your website. Everything you said was straight to the point. Can't believe he took a 180 degrees turn and ruined his series. So much years of expectations for nothing.
