What do you think would have happened in the series up to now, if Kabuto didn't approach Obito and offer him the Edo's. I think Obito's strategy would have gone 20x better. Of course the Zetsu would have been 10x more fodder, but still his strategy would still work.

1. He has 7 bijuu at his disposal. He can simply release them in full Bjiuu form, and let them ravage the enemy. He still has the chakra chains so if any of them get close to being sealed, then they get sucked into the Mazo. Plus he has the Mazo itself, who is extremely strong. Chouji and Chouza couldn't even hold him back in their largest form.

2. The Zetsu army would be there to reinforce more terror. Imagine he didn't even introduce them in the first battle, and kept them underground. Then in the middle of the night release a good amount and mix in with the army, like they did in the manga. It would be 20x harder to identify what this ability is, and who is doing it.

Summary: Kabuto screwed Obito by releasing the Kin Gin brothers. Without themor any edo's, it's likely this would have been a decisive defeat by Obito.

The 7 Tailed Beasts were defeated by Naruto, Bee, Kakashi and Guy. Without the Edos, mainly the fodders would've fought the Zetsu army and all main characters would've fought Obito and the Bijuus. No Edo Madara = Obito alone, and he would've been raped.

I'm talking about Obito releasing the Bijuu on each front of the Shinobi Alliance. Not just in one spot where it would be one giant mosh pit .

Well, probably random ninjas won't defeat even one Tailed Beast, you are right that 1 Tailed Beast > 10 Edo's and 20000 Zetsu. =D

Not when it's your main fighting force. Imagine the US, instead of dropping the nukes on Nagasaki and Hiroshima, we did an invasion. We would have lost hundreds of thousands of men. Then by your logic, after that onslaught, you drop the nuke. No two war strategies are the same. Though some can be similar, and can follow the same basic guide of a strategy, it's never the same variables.
