I'd also assume he deals with potential threats that he notices,and from last weeks chapter we know he's doing missions for Konoha/the world.

Well he was said to be on mission for the Hokage so he may of returned to receive these or perhaps received the mission through cellphone lol or summons sent to him to give him mission details.

Remember at the end of 699 or 700 Sasuke had to leave to find himself again after all the things he had done in the past against Naruto and everyone else though I guess through this journey he must of decided to make use of the time and do missions for Naruto
