Where was Shin Uchiha at during the whole part 2?

Now that i think about it. Kishi is lightweight ass for pulling out Shin Uchiha out of no where. Like why didn't he helped orochimaru attack the hidden leaf village? Why didn't he take revenge on Sasuke for killing Itachi a lot sooner? Why didn't he back up Danzo when he was around?

Man...We need a background story of this wannabe Uchiha!!
