A lot of the Naruto community thinks Naruto and Sasuke has been training vigorously no stop after the war.

Most think adult Naruto and Sasuke are “much stronger” than their end of war counterparts.

Now it was never canonically stated that they kept training.

Fans made that up from mere assumptions.

Narutos gen became a teachers/ jounin after the war.

Then Naruto started a family and became hokage.

Sasuke has been wandering.

There is no training, there was no harnessing his skills etc.

After the last Naruto was being a father raising his kids then became
hokage. Naruto hasn’t train since then.

Hence him being rusty against a Mangekyou user.

Naruto and Sasuke were in their prime at the end of war. Everything after is a decline.

Plus both Naruto and Sasuke have shown new abilities after VoTE 2 so its obvious they did train and are definitely stronger than their VoTE versions.

How about him and Kurama fighting independently of each other, or Sasuke's inter dimensional portals or Naruto able to keep up with enemies like Momoshiki without having to use his CMs for a while. And Naruto recently even showed earth style nninjutus in the Boruto manga.

Current Naruto is much stronger than his vote 2 self.

Dude was keeping up with Momo in base, before going RSM w/ Kurama Chakra. He didn't even utilize his most powerful form.

Fact is, both Naruto and Sasuke are getting nerfed and will continue getting nerfed to give the new gen the spotlight.
