So I read a few Superman,Batman, Spiderman comics when I was a child. But I gave them up as they didn't seem interesting to me. However, now I feel I should give comics another shot.
I have picked up Maus. I would like to pick up 2 super hero comic series, preferably from the same verse, as then their stories would end up being connected somehow.
But comics have been going on for so long that I don't even know where should I begin.
1) DC or Marvel
2) Which superheroes
3) Which edition, and they have had thousands of chapters. Chapter 1 or 100 or 1000?
4) Where do I read them for free?
FYI, I don't like the stories where the superhero just overpowers the villain every time, that is boring. A comic with a complex plot and character development would be good. Maybe after 1-2 superhero comic series, I would be able to find my own path.
Any help would be appreciated.
