where to go on vacations

I need ideas to pick the place of my next vacations, my idea of a vacation is not gettiing all wasted everynight instead i would prefer to pick a place which is beautiful or interesting, so which places have you been to that you find are worth it?

If you are looking for a historic vacation then go to Turkey too, you can visit Troje (where The persians and the Greeks fought) and alote more places, just google it.

Hawaii probably has the funnest stuff to do tourist wise, especially the big island but they're all pretty awesome and you can catch a boat and travel between them.

But I find the best vacay's are when you know someone wherever you're going who lives there. Then you can really see the community and culture. The tourist stuff can feel manufactured or inorganic at times.
