A lot of us thought that term "Monster Trio" was a name made up by fans. But after looking back at some old chapters and anime episodes, I was able to discover that one of the Straw Hats actually did use this term in the canon.

I don't know if this was the first time or not, but regardless, this definitely confirms that the term "Monster Trio" is in fact canon.

This was chapter 455 of the manga and episode 349 of the anime.

I'm sorry if I'm late if this fact has already been stated, but I just had to get this off my shoulders and address it to those who don't know about this.

Nami referred to them as monster trio too in Alabasta if I'm correct.

This bastard always does this. When I made the thread about Oda's SBS he did the same and made one on OP as well.

In a lot of stories/worlds you have 3 big characters. In DC it's Superman, Batman, & Wonder Woman there called the Trinity. In Marvel it's Cap, Iron Man, & Thor. Anyone who reads the WoT series it's Rand, Mat, & Perrin. I am sure there are more examples of this.
