They might turn draggy sometimes, but just stick with it like glue. Once you reach the Water 7 arc you will be blown away!

I really want to start One Piece, but no way in hell am I going to start from Episode 1. I already know the basics: Luffy's crew, the marines, the 4 emperors, the time skip, the 3 admirals, the war, luffy's history and family tree, the alliances (kind of), the basic story line (getting to the all blue and finding the OP) etc. I got most of these info from watching the fight clips on YT and doing a little research behind each of those clips.

With this in mind, which episode should I start on? Thanks. I've been told by some to start after the 2 year time skip? but the majority said to start from the beginning :L

(I already have a grasp of most of the character's personality and development just by watching about 50 or so OP clips.)

So many feels are built up if you watch from the beginning...you will not be disappointed if you do

Update: starting Water 7 arc!

I have to say, everything was very enjoyable. The only thing thats slightly dampening my experience is my previous knowledge of how the boss fights/arc would end since I pretty much watched all of the boss fights on YT before hand. ugggghhh. Nonetheless, OP is one of the best anime I have watched. I think that the only part of it that's not on par with Naruto is the art style. All of the characters look ridiculous lol. Every other aspect is either on par or better than Naruto.

Yeah but the manga is far superior than the anime. Just make sure you switch over to the manga during the start of the timeskip. As for the artstyle, it fits OP quite well and people who think it's stupid never really read OP before. I can't imagine OP having "normal" character designs, idk it just gives OP a unique charm that I like.

Water 7 is an awesome arc and a nice setup for the next arc. You'll love it for sure.

Yes but focus on getting caught up since they the movies aren't canon. Only Strong World & Film Z are worth watching. It contains a few spoilers if you watch it now anyways so I wouldn't do it till you're fully caught up.

WHITEBEARD HYPE. 1 yonko vs 3 admirals, 7 warlords, fleet admiral, and everyone else in the navy? Shows you how powerful WB is, despite losing at the end.

Make sure to switch over to the manga once you reach the TS The MF arc is the best the anime will ever get (there was some censorship but overall they handled that arc well).

Imo MF has quite a few moments that were too slow, but yea MF is still great in the Anime

I'm assuming you're complaining about the anime's pacing. Yeah, it's always going to be slow like that. It will never get better but now start off with the manga. You should of switched to the manga when the TS started but it's not that problematic. Great, welcome =D

As long as you enjoy it without regret, then nothing else matters
Pacing is a major problem for its anime, but you can always try to read the manga. If you read it, you can have extra information about other characters' well-being that used to appear in previous arcs before, or a mini arc on every cover page. For example, what CP9 members did after Enies Lobby incident.
