I really want to start One Piece, but no way in hell am I going to start from Episode 1. I already know the basics: Luffy's crew, the marines, the 4 emperors, the time skip, the 3 admirals, the war, luffy's history and family tree, the alliances (kind of), the basic story line (getting to the all blue and finding the OP) etc. I got most of these info from watching the fight clips on YT and doing a little research behind each of those clips.

With this in mind, which episode should I start on? Thanks. I've been told by some to start after the 2 year time skip? but the majority said to start from the beginning :L

(I already have a grasp of most of the character's personality and development just by watching about 50 or so OP clips.)

Start from the beginning. We all must do our time Lol

Alternatively you can just read the manga instead. If you just don't care, start at the time skip.

Start from the beginning.
Even if you have seen the fights, do you know the reason behind every fight? have you seen them in order?
If you want to enjoy OP then don't just enjoy the fights, the story is hell good with very less to none plotholes.

What a load of BS, you can't skip to TS. Starting from the first episode/chapter is a must. You can't skip anything, people will tell you to skip a certain arc (davy back) but I wouldn't. If you can't start from the beginning, then I'd advise you not to watch/read OP (not to sound like some d*ck). Youtube doesn't upload all the plot points in OP so just because you did some "research" (idk how watching fights is research) doesn't mean you can skip all the way to the TS. This isn't Naruto.

First episode.

You couldn't even get the feels of the character if you didn't even start from the early episodes just saying.

So you know most of the details? Just start from wherever you want, it was the same for me. Couldn't get into One Piece by watching it from the beginning, so I started from an arc that interested me most at that moment (Amazon Lily). It led to Impel Down, and then Marineford... It was awesome. A decision I will never regret.

Edit: it's amazing how everybody else gives zero shits that OP doesn't want to start from episode 1.

Start with Chapter 1.
You will never be a true OP fan unless you have been on their amazing Journey from day 1.

The best part about one piece are the feels. And you will never understand them completely in coming chapters unless you have been there from the start.

P.S: I even recommend them fillers, except perhaps the Davy back fight filler.

If you want to be fully Immersed in the One Piece world I suggest starting from the very beginning.

I don't recommend skipping arcs (except maybe the Davy Back Fight and/or the small amounts of filler)
