Did it occur to any of you how significant the word "Daimo" is? There are Daimo who rule the lands. And there are the hidden villages. The villages were not united as one unit since they existed as sovereign lands run by the each respective Daimo, with each village acting as a sovereign power in their own right.

With the recent ninja war and the villages uniting to form one army, what happens after the war ends? There is a good chance a Shogun could emerge, ushering in a new period similar to Edo or Meiji. Call it a modernation of the new nation-state of the known Naruto verse. Imagine this, each sovereign land run by a Daimo and their respective lands becomes a subjective prefecture to the regional, not sovereign, Daimo and Kage.

This old system cannot be done away with unless the bijuu are first destroyed. Concentrating power into the hands of one individual would be too dangerous. It is clear Naruto and Sauske are the two candidates for leading the new ninja world into a new era. This new era would be a new period in Naruto history.

Sauske wants to destroy the Bijuu
Naruto considers the Bijuu to be his friends.

A conflict will ultimately emerge and a power struggle will result. This is something we already have guessed, but let us go further than a conflict between Sauske and Naruto.

The struggle could be over the newly created title of Shogun, a military leadership position as both Naruto and Sauske have different visions of how they want to lead the ninja world into peace and prosperity. The winner of this bout will result in a new ninja system. Of A Shogun, with regional governers--the old Daimo--and military leaders---the former kage---who will run a united Naruto World. Villages will become towns now that the world has united and no longer isolated from one another.

Clans that were isolated from one another joined together to form villages. Those villages fought each other. Now they have united and become one military. It only makes sense for them to remain as one military after the conflict ends, with the Daimo uniting into one sovereign land instead of being divided as regional lords. A shogun will emerge to most likely lead and rule them all, without the power of the bijuu.

Naruto ends with the deaths of both Sauske and Naruto because for the world to change the hatred must end and create a trigger for people to not want to go back to their old system. A Shugo-daimyō will emerge as a result of this, which could be a group of daimo lords.

So, I'm calling it out:

- I believe a Shogun or a Shugo-daimyō will emerge
- The old system will be done away with and replaced with a shogunate type leadership, with a united military and a united nation-state divided by provinces.
- Villages may become regional towns as villages combine together for economic purposes and pursue a course of trade
- Sauske and Naruto's tragedy is the spark to completely enforce the new system to stay in place.
- Ronin and samarai replace the old system of ninja, ninjitsu and chakra with the elimination of the "God Tree".
