Lol, are you under the impression that Sasuke writes this manga? Sakura has a role in the upcoming chapters. The fact she's not in IT is enough proof of that. Otherwise a more useful character like Gaara or Bee could have been left out of it. Alas, it's Team 7 and the Hokage that haven't been affected by it. I wonder why.

It proves nothing. Sasuke knows the current situation better than Sakura. Sakura is under the Susanoo because Kishi wanted to. If she was caught in the genjutsu, the story would move on.

The story would move on, but it would be different. I don't think you understand that Sasuke is not a real being. Anything Sasuke, or any other character does, is because Kishi makes it so. Simply based off the fact that Sakura was left out of IT, and could just as easily have been dreaming about Sasuke right now, proves that she is useful to the plot in the upcoming chapters.

Keep on dreaming like Ino and co. Sakura is not going anywhere. She couldn't destroy Obito's eye, failed to create diversion against Madara and got stabbed instead.

What can Sakura do, anyway? Become possessed by Kaguya?

That's.... honestly a very kind way of taking that. She was scared because she was standing in front of Madara who's bullshit strong (or was ). Its a pretty common reaction in manga. At the very least, that concept of being helpless and defenseless against a stronger foe. It isn't some accomplishment to be scared shitless and still keep using a jutsu.
