KKK aren't currently a terrorist group even though they behave like one. There are many other groups like that, the most extreme example being the Nazi party in Pre WW2 and WW2. I think that example basically sums up how all this stuff can happen in democracy's and be allowed without justice. The media plays a major role in manipulating the public's view. People end up considering all these atrocities normal. Only individuals are rebelling against this, not groups.

Racist and neo-fascist attacks have always and still reap more lives in Europe and the US than Islamic radicals do. But with all the fear mongering and Islamophobia, this might change soon.

It's total terrorism. I mean going into a movie theatre trying to kill everyone is the definition of terrorizing. Same with going into a church with the intent to kill everyone.

But technically terrorism by law is so strictly defined as attacks with political aims rather than wreaking havoc. Which is stupid in my opinion and should be changed for a broader appeal. If people were tried as terrorists more the whole "insanity plea" thing wouldn't be a trump card for these monsters. And we might even see less of this crap happening.

the nazi partry germany was no where near a democracy. The nuremberg laws come to mind. Not to mention that the only legal party in 1940's germany was the nazi party. far from a democracy

The world was then "civilised" and no group spoke out against the Nazi regime. Also, if you study the Nazi party and Hitler, especially in the early stages, you'll see how incredibly weak it was, and how a bit of resistance from any group would have crushed it. In fact, because no one did stand up, it just became worse as Hitler became more confidant and daring. And when I say group I'm including country's and armies.

Germany was a democracy until the nazi party came to power. I believe the fact that the democratic system allowed them to come to power was her point.
