Not all medals require to win a contest. You probably saw it while watching award list.
But the answer is in previous comments. ^^
When it comes to awards, btw, what is the purpose of Member of the Month award? I mean, why is it given to members?

The Treasure Hunt was an event we held 4 years ago. The section it was held in was specifically made for it and thus was only temporary. When the event was finished, it was removed.
