Where/How did Hashirama get his Sage Power?

Did they ever even mention once where he got his sage mode? I dont think they explained how either. Would that be the sage power of the slugs? Probably not. Toad or Snake sage? Definitely no. So where could he have gotten this sage mode?

I think the Sage gave Hashirama Mokuton.

It was most likely some type of Natural Sage mode. One that he could learn and train for on his own. It probably doesn't have a type, because it miht be unique to his Mokuton as well.

I don't think it is a type like toad, snake or slug sage mode.... his element is nature it self so i think it just naturally absorbed nature energy from the surrounding. it's full time now people get over this and stop trying to connecting to any of the three main summoning.....if you think about it you could say that using sage mode is like an ancient form of chakra which no one use anymore because the discover there internal chakra source..

Probably from the slugs of Katsuyas palace. He heals. They heal. He uses Wood Style. There palace is called blah blah forest whatever. Its possible, but no ones certain. Just another plot hole.

It's probably a side effect of his mokuton, he lived in a warring states period, he didn't have time to go away for months and train for sage mode, he had to lead the Senju clan.

Sincd mokuton requires mastery over yang release, and is derived from the earth, he probably just learned to recieve yang chakra from the earth thereby boosting his mokuton powers, Idk whether it would help him increase other jutsu like for example lightning release b/c it requires yin chakra
