Where has the Shukaku been all this time?

Kurama said that Naruto couldn't take the Shukaku and Hachibi because they are not in the Juubi. So then where has it been and for that matter how did Naruto get his chakra?

Since gaara wasn't dead, kabuto couldn't use the edo tensei on him and obito couldn't bring him along with the other jinchurikis to fight naruto,bee,kakashi and gai...so naruto didn't get shukaku's chakra...it was however always there in the mazou...
