Right now I think about jounin level because of his skill set. He's using three chakra natures and absorbs chakra. That alone should put him as a jounin and im not including dojutusu in this estimation. He could probably go for special jounin and have a justified case.

If we take his ass pulls, MC plot armour and handouts into the equation then he's beyond Jonin level, heck he's above Kage level just ask Momoshiki. If we remove the plot armour then even with his natures at best he's chunin level in skill(thaijutsu and SCJ use) even if he's not in intelligence. He doesn't really have any combat combat display with the natures against other ninja so I don't know how that would give him higher rank. Against genin while possessing 3 natures he got washed and resorted to cheating. As for the seals absorbtion it used to cripple him until plot armour kicked in 2 chapters back based off of that and his skill he gets the benefit of the doubt and is given Chunin level potential.

He is below Academy Level, since all his arsenal equals to a baby with a AK47. He is powerful by default, but gets soloed by raw power (the standart one used in Shippuden).
His experience is below zero and and he'd be the first of his peers to die in Warring States along with Salad.
