Where do you draw the line on racism? Are stereotypical jokes funny to you? When you see a minority getting harassed due to his race/ethnic group, is that funny? Or do you despise it?

Too me, I think some [most] stereotypical jokes are very funny, no matter what race is being stereotyped. But people often get the misconception that the only people being stereotyped are black people. Well they are not. Stereotypes could be about a white guy, chinese guy, russain guy, etc. Some jokes even cross the line, but they would have to be very, very bad.

When someone is being harassed due to his-her race/ethnic group, that is when it crosses the line. Then what do you do about it? Do you help the person being harassed by sticking up for him, just walk on by while he is being harassed, confront the harassers? What would you do in a situation like that?

Many stereotypical jokes are funny, but many people confuse them as racist jokes. I would probably help the person out, depending on how many people are harassing him and whether they are murderers U_U

It's all about the intention of the one who says what he says.

If you are a Jew and I come and tell you a silly joke that involves Jews and money, you shouldn't be offended.
If I have 2 black friends and before meeting them tell them that I am ready to "join the dark side" then they shouldn't be offended.

If I attack verbally your people though or use sarcastic comments then you have every right to punch me in the face.

I despise it, but it be funny some times, so I cannot hold it in. If the joke is taken to far, I usually tell the person and/or walk away.

If a random stranger, I do not know. That could be a random mistake. Anything can happen. They guy could be a murder. I am not paranoid, but stuff like that could be the case or it is not my business to speak on that because they could be that way their whole life. My words could mean little, yet actually saying something makes a different. I say it depends.... if I have a crowd of people around me. I do not want to get jumped.

Stereotypical jokes can be funny, which is why I like Tosh. I draw the line when you genuinely believe races are inferior and treat them wrong.

My outlook is you can say whatever you want but when you offend someone you should expect the consequences and take that beating. And if you don't offend anyone then you can then take credit for the funny joke that everyone laughed about.

Stereotypical jokes are often funny but it shouldn't go into racism and people shouldn't be discriminated... At first make fun of yourself then make fun of others!!

Stereotyping is a lot of fun. There is much truth to stereotypes and they make for great jokes

Killing, harassing, or bullying because of their color/race is absurd though.

WTB fried chicken and watermelons, PST best offer!
