My bet would be to either Google the artist and then Google artist similar to them or to find the genre and look for that, or to get Pandora or Spotify and make a station based on that artist and wait for the similar artist to come through.

last.fm and spotify will find artists similar.
Pandora is only limited to Aus, NZ and US so it sucks imo.
