VR is the future of gaming, for decades they've been trying to get it to work. I don't think we're too far off from it being cool.
The idea of virtual reality is in the name. To be so immersed in it that it feels like another reality. You'll never have that true immersion, at least not in a while. Putting a TV on your face can't compare. You still have the same limitations of regular games but you're more immersed with the screen.

and 4k gaming too. 4k gaming will become more standard in 2019/2020 with the new line of Nvidia GPU after pascal. Right now 4k gaming on PC can only average 30 to 45 FPS...We need 60 FPS at least.

We're getting there! CyberPunk Era!!!!!! XD
4K isn't even that big of a deal. Stop being a sheep, bro. OLED TVs are better and consumers were too dumb to realize that and focused on the number 4 so producers basically stopped trying for OLED.

Frames per second, resolution, are barely things to be excited about for the future. That's secondary shit.

I'm not. I don't even game with 4k with my GTX 980 TI. I like to keep it at 2k(2560 x 1440) with 70+ FPS. But there are a lot of PC gamers that want that 4k life for dumb reasons.

TV wise... I bought me a cheap ass 40 inches 4k tv(250 bucks! cant beat that XD) and it is working fine. Not as good as them high end tv, but lovely enough.

Have you tried any of the VR headset? May not be true immersion, but it is a lovely experience. I'm only interested in it for VR desktop more than gaming.

Tried Oculus Rift once but in it's early stages. Felt a little dizzy, to be honest.

How'd you get the TV at such a cheap price, lol.

My problem is people want all these things but like someone said, games need to be more optimized. That's a good priority.

Of course you felt a lil dizzy. I lost my balance when I tried it. lol But after you play with it for a few hours like with the Samsung VR headset, the dizziness go away.

I got that 4k 40 inches Seiki tv. It was for 250 on Newegg last year. Some people complained that it only last for a few months. But it been working so far for me. Well I don't really watch tv as much anymore. I like using my monitor for ps4 and chromecast really.

VR games will be optimized for sure. Sony made it very clear that if any VR games are below 60 FPS, they will not allow it to be release. PS4 and Xbox one are old hardware. I have seen better graphic on my GTX 650 TI last year when I was overclocking my dell.

I can't see where the gaming industry is heading to. Graphics almost top notch. Almost Look real. GPU, CPU. This and that. And they hardly push the 4K technology into games. Makes you wonder if there is going to be an 8K technology someday in the future.

8k TV was shown a few months ago but it is dumb. Apple said to be working on a 8k Iimac. 8k gaming wise? We can't even get a stable 60 fps 4k gaming with 4 Titan X cards..So we won't see that for at least another 10 years for sure.

PC is going down hill as well. All the games that come out now seem to be crap. Developers focus on graphics instead of story and gameplay nowadays. Also, this newer games are very unoptimized. Look at Dark Souls 3, it's an awesome game. It's a shame i can't enjoy it atm because it's an awfull console port. It runs like crap even on higher end computers. I hope they release a patch to fix this framerate issues.
Pc does have its few gems out there it just depends on what your looking for
