Well actually this could be answered easily. It is to be happy.
Lots of stuff can happen u may endure many hardshipps but in the end it was your life, your decisions. If something fails in my life i look back and smile about it, may try it again or leave it be.
Every second that u can not look back to and smile is wasted time. In the end we all die. But we might have done something good, we might have shown someone the right path. We might have just shared a laugh with someone.
Sometimes the little things u do r way more important than the big ones.
And to be honest don´t we all just wanna be happy?

I should have said 'pressured' not forced.

But I am being to hard on myself.
well in what ways are you pressured to conforming?

We live in a period where even homosexuality is finally accepted in our society, when before you could have been discredited or even imprisoned for such a thing; so homosexuals had to pretend they were straight.......that's what I call being forced to conform

What we call "conforming" in our present generation is from trivial matters such as the clothes you wear or the music you listen too.

We have freedom of speech and freedom of thought, so what more do you need?

I see your point but all those things are mental creations of man. You don't have to be bound by them. Society is formed from our intellect, it's also perverted because of the same.

Civilizations rise and fall because we perverse life and take meaning from it. We make it meaningless by our own creations and were obsessed with things that don't really have any meaning or importance besides our perception of it.

What matters is what we learn and teach and experience on the journey with our brothers on the same path.

Get what I'm saying?
I totally get it. I can tell by the things you type that we share a similar philosophy.

You're right. I don't have any problems. Just my paranoia attacking me.

look man, I know the world might seem boring, but how much of the world have you really seen?

There are continents of land and empires of knowledge that you haven't even fathomed. It's all out there for one to obtain and explore, it's just a matter of motivation.

Technically. Nothing. There is no meaning to life, in the same way that there is no meaning to the universe's existence.

We create our own little goals to fill ourselves up with hope in order to justify our very own existence.

Basically put, we solve the problems that we ourselves create in the first place.

It's quite ironic. I was having this discussion with a fellow Shujo member here on NB. We both came to the conclusion; there is no purpose in life. There is absolutely no meaning. If you delve deep, you'll find life for many is stagnant and we find ourselves following the pre-established root that was condoned on to us by the theory of evolution; We're put on this earth to survive long enough to reproduce. Just, in this day and age, reproducing is not the only means to an end. We don't have any singular purpose beyond our genetic and evolutionary structure. It sounds depressing, but we essentially fill a void that has no meaning nor purpose. I'd rather not delve in to religious aspects given my agnostic stand point, but there is no proof that you are liberated beyond death, which makes every other ounce of your life just as depressing that you're basically born to die.

regardless if we have a purpose or not, life is still an opportunity to be thankful for.

True, that with our current knowledge of the universe we cannot find purpose, but perhaps one day when we obtain the technology, we may discover something that we have never foreseen.

We only know less than 1% of the universe, so there's still an almost infinite number of possibilities and reasoning for our actual existence.

I'd rather not conclude to use having no purpose whatsoever.

But as of now, we make our own purpose and that's what matters most.

I'm at a point of my life where i feel like I want to do absolutely nothing but eat sleep and find entertainment. No goal, no ambition, just nothing.

nothing intrigues me anymore. My passion for research is gone.My passion for art is gone.
Sounds familiar.
I think the key to personal growth is to grab your self pity by the throat and start being proactive.
Easier said then done though.
