Because people can only die by being killed? o_O. All the strong tiers of Roger's era were pretty much shown at the Sabody/Marineford arcs: Sengoku, Whitebeard, Rayleigh, Garp. The final 4 of that era. That war was literally the passing of the era.

"left alive and well" =/= are well and alive 20 years later.


So there really isn't anything in the manga that points to Gaban being alive. And if it has to do with Wano.. why wouldn't Oda choose Rayleigh, considering hes a swordsman + the "zoro" of his crew.

Gaban and etc imo, will be revealed through flashbacks.

The part in bold is absolutely wrong, all the strong people during that era was at that war. Dragon, Crocus, and many others were not in sabody or the marineford war. Hell even Kaidou and Big mam were not present, and they were notorious pirates during Rogers era, Rayleigh made mention of that. So just because Scooper wasn't there doesn't mean he's dead, no crew member is dead as far as anything is concerned.

That's exactly what it means. Scooper is no older than Rayleigh, Whitebeard, and Garp themselves so he has no reason to be dead in the first place. So what I have here is well enough evidence to be alive, and making the assumption that he died is just way off because there is nothing that can possibility kill him.
The attire he is wearing is from the Wano country, you can see that. But your whole swordmen analogy is off because most of Rogers crew members used swords.

You should reread my post....

"All the strong tiers of Roger's era were shown during Sabody/Marineford arcs".. something that is pretty much true.... all of them were. Only one person out of the ones you mentioned is from Roger's era.. and thats crocus.. and he wasn't a top tier of that generation. The others you mentioned are not from Roger's era, but the era after Roger.

Again so where does it say thats Gaban.. nowhere. You just made a random assumption that the wano guy shown is Gaban.. while there literally being nothing stating that is Gaban.

And there is something called illness, take a look at Whitebeard. There is also something called age limit. Simply because Garp/Sengoku/Rayleigh are alive, doesn't mean every single person from their generation is alive.


PS: in the very scan you posted, only Shanks/Rayleigh/Roger are weilding swords. Though roger is also weilding a Gun tho. Rayleigh is a swordsman, thats already confirmed. And Shanks is a swordsman.. thats confirmed as well. So no clue how what I said with zoro doesn't make sense.

On top of that, Rayleigh was not there during the marineford arc and neither were Sengoku and Garp was in Sabody island.
Shiki was not seen or made mention, Crocus as I pointed out wasn't there, so of course the rest won't be in the Marineford either.

1. Crocus wouldn't be sharing sake with anyone else besides his former crew mates
2. Rogers is the only one to be confirmed to have illness at a very young age too, so that part is pure speculation.
3. Whitebeard had health issue was never stated to be of old age and even so he's older than Rogers and his crew.
4. Whitebeards bad health didn't kill him either
5. There is no age limit logic here, Whitebeard has been around the seas longer than Rogers did. Again, age was never stated to be the cause of Whitebeards health problems.

Rogers was wielding a sword. Almost everyone back then used a sword in a fight. Look at the background. It was never confirmed that Rayleigh was the swordsmen of the group either, so it doesn't make sense.

Many people on rogers' crew uses a sword and so does the captain.
