It is just a debate of ethics, to be honest. Both sides of the coin are human constructed. The west has moved ahead and constructed new ones, when not long ago, it used to burn people alive using witchcraft. This region is adhering to this mentality and doesn't want to contruct new ethical system of moral values.

As long as people are not persecuted for petty things, I consider both setups to be equally laughable.

You just proved everything i said was right, if that's the case then how am i feeding on propaganda? are you an idiot? maybe you should look up the definition.
No, I corrected you on women's rights and told that your identification of mentality is not valid to us.

Just because because gulf countries have high gdp doesn't mean they're great..they're heavily reliant on oil, their economy is not diverse enough and that's why they'll never be developed nations.
The Gulf States are hub of tourism, banking and real estate. We've invested in renewable energy, and we are buying up world tech companies. Does it really matter if we're too dependent on oil? The fact is, oil money is providing us with our needs; how are you doing there with the taxes and income inequality?

Saudi Arabia executes a person every 2 days...there are gay people you can't just kill them because they don't follow your ideology, this is radical in many ways.
Executions in KSA are only drug related offences, murder, rape and witchcraft. About apostasy and homosexuality, no one is going to come out and publicly declare themselves to be one of those. Gay people can leave.

Secularism is definitely the way to go look at turkey and a lot of north African nations are slowly becoming more secularist we don't need to implement religion into our government institutions, if you're too blind to see then that's definitely an issue.
Thank you for your advice and concern, but we can take of ourselves.

Let me ask you a question: Would I get a 5 year sentence and fine for denying the Holocaust in Germany in the name of freedom of speech? So much for secularism and freedom.

They are governed by two different systems. The West has generally created its own set of moral values which are deemed appropriate and correct (e.g. allowing homosexuality) while gulf states have their values from tradition and religion (such as no for homosexuality). What your basically saying is that the gulf values are morals are wrong, and they should copy the western morals and values, which are "correct", which is basically the unanswerable question of what is the true religion/g-d
