Even if maddy could absorb a susanoo arrow the force at which it would have hit him would have still made it more effective than running up with katana only to get nuked. Not to mention we've never seen a Susanoo fall victim to absorption, even when put against preta and Mokuton.

Are you people serious? Madara just absorbed ninjutsu but all you guys are claiming a ninjutsu move would kill madara? My god... you guys would probably be exactly like naruto in the NV verse... Sasuke did the most logical thign which was taijutsu since ninjutsu was being nullified. Oh, but, lemme guess, Naruto should have tossed more rasenshuriken aginst pain right? Even though ninjutsu was rendered useless, i'm sure haphazardly tossing out your most powerful techs, and wasting chakra, would have worked. Guess naruto was a naive idiot for engaging pain in CQC... After recent chapter, it's just kishi wanting to build suspense... If sasuke pulled out Susano'o, madara would just pull out his like last chapter. Sasuke would die against current madara in a susano'o fight; Kishi didn't want to kill off naruto and sasuke with a blind guy Zzz

This is why I wish we could start reading VIZ for free instead of crappy online scanlators. Having to deal with inaccurate translations is annoying. When he used Amaterasu, Naruto told him it's pointless as Madara can absorb ninjutsu, we see as much, so Sasuke attacked with Kenjutsu.
(Still, the man just absorbed Amaterasu. Common sense alone should tell us other ninjutsu would not work, good translation or not)
