How many times do I gotta say this, techniques that do not require eye contact or anything that require sight, mean they do not need the eyes to use it.

You can manifest chakra without your eyes
You can absorb techniques without eyes
You cannot genjutsu (Uchiha genjutsu) without the eyes
You cannot Amaterasu someone without eyes, as you need to see where you are aiming
You cannot Kamui snipe without eyes

You can also clearly see that he kept on absorbing the amaterasu after taking off the armour. Which may imply that he needed to directly touch it to absorb it...

Again Madara's armour couldn't absorb it, which is why he took it off. You can see that the Armour he took off still had the amaterasu burning on it, and he still kept on absorbing the amaterasu long after he took it off.
