Could it possibly be a reference to the eye he sacrificed using Izanagi in his fight with Konan? I mean, Obito was missing an eye, is it possible when Madara died he took the sharingan from Madara's eye, which is why he was always on about being Madara or the power of Madara? I think it would fit, to be honest. Like how Kakashi started acting like Obito once he took his eye, Obito made a piece of Madara a part of him. And yes I realize that eye was just a spare, but it was still a part of Madara.

Also, anyone else realize that the Rinnegan Obito now has used to belong to Madara, then Nagato and now him? Talk about used goods, and this is eyes were talking about! Not to mention to create those eyes Madara had to take his brothers... Thus is the life of a Doujutsu.

That's a good point! He had the power of Hashirama's DNA from Madara, and could have taken the other eye...I can't remember, but didn't Madara only have the left eye?

Anyways good thought. Having the power of Madara's eye and DNA he got because of Madara would lead him to represent the strength of Madara XD!

But that wasn't really Madara's eye.

I know that, but it would still hold...sentimental value. Also, we may never know, but I doubt Madara would take just any old eye. Perhaps the Kagami fanboys will finally have their moment.

Yeah, he did take Madara's eye, but it wasn't Madara's real eye, because his real eyes were in Nagato. So the Izanagi eye came from Madara, but it wasn't his eye. Great, now I'm confused.

Not that confusing. Obito borrowed Madara's borrowed eye before borrowing his real eyes that Nagato borrowed.
