Happened to Superman. Jumping buildings to flying through Big stars hotter than suns.
But that isn't really the same, is it? Superman had creators, but then there were (and still are) many artists and writers who wrote stories about him, different continuities, etc. Yes, DC Comics had that thing when they basically rebooted their entire universe (Crisis on Infinite Earths, was it? I'm not too knowledgeable about comic books), but it was done for convenience since many writers expanded the universe(s) too much, and they wanted to simplify it. Naruto wouldn't need that, being a singular, continuous story.
Point is, there isn't really a single "Superman story" out there. There are many, including alternate ones, and what exactly he is depends on the writer. Even his personality evolved over time. It's not the case with Naruto, as it, well, actually a story that ended, and was written by one person (mostly).
I could actually see more Naruto spin-offs, we've already gotten the Lee and Sasuke ones, while the novels aren't written by Kishi but are apparently in the same continuity. But a full-fledged reboot of the "main" story? That would be pointless IMO.
