Can you explain exactly what Maddie's reasons to remain evil would be? He knows BZ used him, he'll find out he altered the stone tablet and that the IT was a lie and that it will ruin humanity. Hagoromo's spirit is out there, he might talk to him. No reason for him to be evil.

Madara wasn't evil . His way and vision of peace is different from Naruto's and that doesnt make him evil ; Naruto wanting to rasengan someone's face because their opinion differs doesn't necessarily make that person evil . Until Naruto comes out with his own peace solution and finally put an end to the cycle of hatred , you can't blame Madara to have came with his own plan . The only downfall of his plan is the truth of IT (people becoming Zetsus etc) something he did not know. The only thing Naruto Sasuke and the Shinobi Alliance did is protecting the previous system , preventing and now cancelling Madara's choice , for Naruto to be able to choose and cast his own plan . This manga is supposed to have Naruto choosing and changing this world's reality , the outcome of the good vs the villains is already obviously known .

Madara can still comeback , have his opinion differing from Naruto's , or finally becoming evil over the BZ lie , Its only up to the author . On how powerful he would comeback , how exactly it would happen etc . It also depends on if the manga will end soon , or not . If we have a part III then it's even more pleausible.

Yeah poor choice of words, not evil was what I meant. But even if he was to come back and his vision would still differ from Naruto's I still don't see any more reason for a battle to the death. Firstly, it's clearly that Maddie didn't want to destroy humanity turning them into White Zetsus. So even if he'd still want to come back and change something with the current system he'll have to stop IT beforehand. I don't think Kishi will make him just come back instead of Kaguya, because that wouldn't conclude anything at all. I think that in order to change something he'll fight Kaguya alongside Naruto and Sasuke and stop IT. Now there are quite some possibilities after doing that: stop IT and afterwards leave again to think about another plan of changing the system, or maybe entrusting Sasuke (or even Naruto for that matter) with finding that change. (Personally I'd love to see Sasuke carrying Maddie's will, even tho I might be harsh at times I only bash Maddie for the lulz, truth is I respect him).

And yes a part III would be great.
