How come when Kakashi was talking to his dad do we see Rin and Obito in the afterlife? I mean since Obito was alive shouldn't we only see Kakashi dad and Rin and not Obito?

So that mean Kakashi talking to his dad was a hallucination, then that means Kakashi didn't die and wasn't revived by Pain. It weird Naruto said that he couldn't feel Kakashi chakra at all, which when Naruto saw Tsunade reaction confirmed Kakashi was dead.

Oh I see, Kakashi talking to his dad was real, but the part of Kakashi seeing Obito and Rin wasn't. I just checked the manga and yes it seem Kakashi seeing Minato, Rin and Obito was a illusion.

Oh, he did go to afterlife (sorta, whatever that dad campfire thingy was) however, as he was dying and as he was getting revived, he got more along the lines of NDE's than an actual afterlife.

I'd call that the NV equivalent of Purgatory. Many Naruto characters talk about the afterlife so you're right, but i'd say he was somewhere between alive and dead.
