When Itachi wanted sasukes eyes.

If Itachi was to kill sasuke & take his eyes in their fight, Could he have obtained the EMS even though Sasuke hadn't awakened his at the time? Or would he have his new "light" but no change would happen to his sharingan? I am of course speaking as if Itachi were evil & cruel.

I thought about this a couple days after I saw the fight the first time then forgot about it, but my guess is that it would just give him a new light

I'm pretty sure you need MS. It was stated that you could take anyones MS to give you more light, but it would he exponentially less light if it wasn't compatible (ie: a relatives eye).

Not sure honestly, but they said that itachi was taken medicene just so he could make it to that fight, so im sure he would have died shortly after anyway
