what the hell was the point of the Edo Jinchuriki each having a sharingan and rinnegan? They didn't use 'em whatsoever. Or did I miss something?

I guess you could say they used the Rinnegan similar to the 6 paths. They could see out of eachother's eyes and combined and timed their attacks perfectly which seemed to give Naruto and Bee a challenge. I assume for sharingan they could only see different chakra colors and such. Well at least I think so
