[Question] When Does The One Piece Get Interesting?

Since Naruto is in filler hell currently, I've decided to start watching One Piece. I got to the mid twentied, and is really boring.

Luffy seems like an idiot, like he doesn't care if there's danger, Zoro hasn't done anything epic yet, etc.

When does it pick up and get onto the "hype".

I hope that answers your question.In all honesty Arlong arc was the first one I was hyped on.

Also in that arc one of my fav epic/emotional moments happens there.

Well u will find some arcs boring. I use to skip lots of episodes.but there are some very good arcs. Like Arlong Arc, Alabasta arc,Water7/Ennies Lobby Arc, Impel Down Arc, Marineford Arc, Dressrosa Arc.

Believe me Zoro has some of the best/ most badass moments in OP

The fishman arc is when the hype begins even ussop took out a fishman

The anime was way better before so if you can't enjoy that then maybe it's not for you. The anime was paced nicely during the start too and goes to that chapter per episode pacing near/past Enies Lobby (which around the late 200's in episodes). OP anime is better when you binge watch it anyways IMO.

Eh, try the manga if you still feel the same way then try another anime. Everyone has a different take on where OP "picks up", at least with the anime, most people say Arlong Park. It depends but I also agree with the arlong park arc.

For me it was Water 7 Saga and Marineford War. Prior to that it was lame, childish, non interesting at all. After that, it's good. Oh I forgot Skypiea. That arc was great.

Chapter 1. Don't watch the damn Anime, they extend one chapter to equal one episode, so there is a lot of dragging out. It was at it's worse during the Marineford War.

Alabasta is when it became one of my fav shounen. Water 7 is when it became my #1 shounen. Marineford is when I experienced the best arc i've seen in shounen history.
