When does A-B-C logic work?

In the Sannin's case it works ( or at least worked). In the manga it was stated only a Sannin can defeat a Sannin. And according to a Japanase game and myth they are equals: Slug ( Tsunade ) > Snake ( Orochimaru ) > Toad ( Jman ) > Slug ( Tsunade ), etc.

No it doesn't work in the sannin's case.

Oro > Tsunade or Jiraiya in 1v1.

Only a sannin can defeat a sannin?, Remind me what did Itachi do to Oro.

It can be applied if you compare a skilled character to two or more characters who are considered to be the weakest out of all the characters in that series.

i.e: Sasuke (part number 1) > Naruto (part number 1) > Sakura (part number 1).

I'd say that ABC logic works only when referring to speed. The Raikage is faster than Sasuke, Sasuke is faster than Sakura, therefore, it's pretty safe to say that the Raikage is faster than Sakura. However, it rarely works. It's better just to come up with solid proof :y

Strength: Tsunade>raikage>sakura. safe to say Tsunade>sakura

In short terms: Hashirama > Madara > Konohamaru.
